President Muhammadu Buhari has ordered the immediate reopening of Nigeria’s land borders.
The Presidency announced this in a tweet on Wednesday. Saying, “President Buhari has directed the immediate opening of four land borders: Seme, Illela, Maigatari, and Mfun,” @NGRPresident tweeted.
President Buhari had in August 2019 closed Nigeria’s land borders to check the illegal importation of drugs, small arms and agricultural products into the country from neighbouring West African countries.
