Manchester United suffered a humiliating 4-0 loss to Brentford on Saturday in their second consecutive loss this season.
The starting of Cristiano Ronaldo by Manchester United coach, Erik Ten Hag did not deter Brentford from shredding the Red Devils.
United’s woes started in the 10th minute after goalkeeper David de Gea, slipped off the ball by Joshua DaSilva to earn the hosts their first goal.
Mathias Jensen doubled Brentford’s goal in the 18th minute.
Things further went south for United despite their weak attempt to drag themselves back into the game, a header from Ben Mee made Brentford go three goals up.
With just over 10 minutes before half-time, Bryan Mbeumo well-composed finish worsened things for the visitors who looked mentally exhausted.
This is the first time since 1992 that Manchester United has lost their first two opening Premier League games.
