Betty Irabor, family refute Olu Jacobs’ deaths rumours

Betty Irabor, the founder of Genevieve Magazine, has refuted the circulating rumours that Nollywood veteran Olu Jacobs has died.

Social media had been abuzz with claims that the 82-year-old actor passed away on Sunday.

Recall that the role interpreter has been battling dementia for some time.

“Olu Jacobs is well and alive. Please ignore all rumours of his passing,” Irabor tweeted.

Jacobs’ family has also released a video to confirm that the actor is alive.

Last year, his wife, Joke Silva, mentioned that Jacob’s illness had brought significant changes in him.

“It hasn’t been easy. There was a point of acceptance for me that everything happening is reality and it is like the person I married, 80 per cent of the time is no longer there,” she said.
