The organizers of the Big Brother Naija reality show have made some rule changes for the ongoing season.
Reports indicate that the organizers introduced new elements for season 9, such as the Custodian Challenge, the Head of House (HOH) ballot, and a rule allowing housemates to vote for the eviction of the bottom four pairs.
Under the new rules, Custodians had the power to influence both evictions and the HOH ballot.
Additionally, Custodians were immune from eviction, while the HOH was not.
However, during Sunday’s live show, on the 17th of August, 2024, the host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu announced that Biggie has abolished the Custodian Challenge and the HOH ballot and has removed the housemates’ power to vote for the eviction of the bottom four pairs.
Biggie has reinstated immunity for the HOH, although the HOH no longer has the power to “save and replace.”
According to the latest rules, housemates will now nominate each other for eviction, while viewers will have the ultimate power to decide who leaves by voting.
