Bandits in Kaduna have released two nurses kidnapped in the state after 80 days in their den.
The two nurses, Afiniki Bako and Grace Nkut, were kidnapped in April, while on night duty at Doka General Hospital in Kajuru area of Kaduna State.
National Association of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives, Kaduna State Chapter Chairman, Comrade Ishaku Yakubu, who confirmed their release, said they were set free on Saturday at about 7:00pm.
He said no additional ransom was paid to the kidnappers apart from the N10 million earlier collected.
Yakubu said two motorcycles were given to the bandits before they were released.
The nurses were abducted at gunpoint at the General Hospital, Doka.
The kidnappers were said to have initially collected N10 million, as well as N50,000 recharge cards and four Tecno handsets, which were delivered to them.
