KEHINDE FAJOBI
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was robbed and assaulted by a group of masked burglars at his home in Barcelona in the early hours of Monday morning.
The burglars entered through the garden according to eyewitnesses at about 1:00 am this morning while the Barcelona striker and his family were at home.
According to a report by Associated Press, “Aubameyang was hit and forced to open a safe where the couple kept jewellery. The attackers allegedly threatened him and his wife with guns and iron bars. Authorities said at least four men entered the player’s home and then escaped in a car.”
Aubameyang’s wife, Alysha Behague was said to have alerted the police who have since gone into search for the assailants.
This incident came as Barcelona new signing, Robert Lewandowski, also got robbed of his wrist watch last week in training.
