National Association of Nigerian Students on Tuesday demanded the resignation of the Minister of Education, Malam Adamu Adamu, over the protracted strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities.
NANS leadership said this during a protest on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
They alleged that the minister had shown no interest in dialoguing with ASUU to call off the strike.
NANS Vice President (External Affairs), Akinteye Babatunde, vowed that the students would continue the blockade in different locations until the Federal Government addressed the issues with ASUU.
“This protracted strike is becoming a madness and the student populace will not take it,” Babatunde said.
