In their bid to win the Premier League title, Arsenal Sunday night secured a huge result,
defeating Manchester United 3-2 at the Emirates Stadium.
From beginning to end, the game between the teams was exciting.
Eddie Nketiah scored in response to Marcus Rashford’s excellent run-and-shot opening goal for the visitors with a header at the back post.
Bukayo Saka gave Arsenal the lead with a spectacular long-range shot, but Lisandrio Martinez’s header put the visitors back in front after Aaron Ramsdale made a mistake.
There was one more surprise, though, when Nketiah scored his second goal of the match for Mikel Arteta’s team, deflecting Martin Odegaard’s shot past David de Gea.
The FA Cup’s fourth round matchup between Arsenal and Manchester City will take place on the road the following Friday.
Wednesday’s EFL Cup match between Manchester United and Nottingham Forest is the first leg of their semifinal matchup.
