Governors of the All Progressives Congress have further trimmed down the list of proposed presidential aspirants to three.
This development followed the directive by President Muhammadu Buhari on the actualisation of a consensus presidential candidate.
Earlier on Tuesday, the governors presented a five-man list of aspirants to President Buhari for his consideration.
The initial list proposed the APC National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu; Vice President Yemi Osinbajo; Rotimi Amaechi; Governor Kayode Fayemi and Governor Dave Umahi.
But after further deliberations by the governors, the list was trimmed down to three aspirants sparing only Tinubu, Osibanjo and Amaechi.
The latest list has, however, been rejected by some of the affected aspirants, particularly Governors, Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti and Yahaya Bello of Kogi, who said that the decision was not binding on them.
They insisted that they are still in the race.
