Former Imo State governor and presidential aspirant of the All Progressives Congress, Chief Rochas Okorocha, was on Monday remanded in the custody of the anti-graft agency, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
Okorocha’s was remanded by the court pending the determination of his bail application.
Justice Inyang Ekwo of the Federal High Court, Abuja gave the remand order on Monday.
The court also remanded alongside Okorocha in EFCC custody an APC chieftain, Anyim Chinenye.
Okorocha, Chinenye and five companies were arraigned on 17 counts of money laundering filed by the EFCC.
Justice Ekwo, however, adjourned the hearing of the bail applications by Okorocha and Chinenye to Tuesday.
