In order to rest before the election season, Bola Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress’ presidential candidate, is in the United Kingdom.
APC Presidential Campaign Council member Ayo Oyalowo made this remark while appearing on Channels Television’s Politics Today.
“The man, as I said, needed a few days off because the pressure on him is a bit too much and he needed to rest because the campaign is pretty long – we have about four, five months to campaign before the general election,” he said on Monday.
“So, he needs to ensure that he is not worn out by the show of love, and camaraderie – too many people coming to see him. So, yes, he needed to take that breather.”
Following responses to Tinubu’s absence from the country, he remarked.
Concerns about the location and fitness of the former governor of Lagos State were raised as a result of the APC candidate’s absence when presidential flagbearers signed a peace agreement before the election of next year.
In response to concerns over his health, Tinubu published a seven-second training video in which he insisted that he was in good enough shape to represent Nigeria. A wave of critiques was also sparked by the video.
However, according to the APC leader, Tinubu is the primary factor in the run-up to the 2023 elections.
He said, “Two people dropped videos yesterday. Another person dropped a dancing video but nobody is talking about it because he is not a factor. Asiwaju is a factor.
“He will always be spoken about because he matters. He is the main factor in this election.”
