Air Peace has dismissed rumours of an upcoming fare hike that would set one-way flights from Lagos to Abuja at ₦200,000.

Reports of the alleged increase surfaced online, claiming that the airline’s one-way fare would rise from ₦114,000 to ₦200,000 starting November 1, 2024.

The post, which went viral, included an image of Air Peace Chairman Allen Onyema, lending it apparent credibility.

In a statement on Saturday, Air Peace clarified, “We would like to categorically state that this information is false and did not originate from Air Peace. We have not released any official statement regarding a fare increase as described, and any announcements regarding our pricing would only be made through our verified channels.”

The airline urged customers to rely solely on its official platforms for accurate fare information.

“We encourage our valued customers and clients to rely exclusively on these platforms for accurate updates and information on fares,” the statement added.
