Fans of music stars, Davido and Burnaboy, across the world have expressed disappointment in the leading Nigerian entertainers for engaging in a physical combat at Twist Night Club in Accra, Ghana.
First News learnt that the fracas started when Burnaboy moved to the club where the fem crooner was positioned.
Though the reason behind the fight is still unclear, but the beef between the stars started when Burnaboy was nominated for Grammy award last year for the Best World Music album for giant of Africa.
However, fans who spoke with First News said the crisis would not affect Burnaboy’s chance in the coming Grammy award, which he has already been nominated for.
Malomo Moses in his contribution said the fight would have no effect on the nominated artiste. “Grammy does not send the duo at all.”
Miss Omosewa said it can’t affect him at all
Mr Moyosore said it can’t affect Burnaboy.
Mr Kunle said it’s far from it since Grammy is not a Nigerian award.
On her part, Miss Omosewa stated that the fight between the two artistes has nothing to do with any award. “It’s their personal beef, Grammy is an international award and the criteria are more about music accolades and royalties. Also winning a Grammy award boils down to the fans’ vote because it’s a voting category.
Meanwhile, Mr Oluwole said that Davido’s spat with Burnaboy is a big blow for him to emerge as a winner.
