IBUKUNOLUWA KING-OKUNEYE
The presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi met with the Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike and other governors of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Rivers State.
This is the second meeting of Obi and Wike since after dumping the PDP and declaring his presidential ambition.
Obi’s meeting was disclosed via a post on Twitter by former Governor of Ondo State, Olusegun Mimiko.
Mimiko revealed that the meeting was held Monday night.
Others in attendance at the meeting include former Cross River State Governor, Donald Duke; former Governor of Gombe State, Ibrahim Dankwanbo; Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom; Governor of Abia State, Okezie Ikpeazu; Mohammed Adoke and several others.
Posting a photograph of the meeting, Mimiko wrote: “Nice to share some time last night with @GovWike @Donald_Duke @PeterObi @HEDankwambo @GovSamuelOrtom @GovernorIkpeazu, Mohammed Adoke SAN and many other friends.”
Mimiko did not disclose the aim and location of the meeting.
