Again, Arsenal Fail, Stun by Bournemouth at Emirates

Arsenal’s Premier League title hopes took another hit on Saturday night as they slumped to a 2–1 defeat at home to Bournemouth, despite a milestone goal from Declan Rice in his 100th appearance for the club.

Rice gave the Gunners a deserved lead in the 34th minute, curling home a fine effort from the edge of the box to mark his century of games in style.

Arsenal dominated the first half but failed to kill the game off, and they were punished after the break.

Dean Huijsen equalized for the Cherries in the 67th minute, rising highest from a corner to power a header past Ramsdale.

The Emirates fell silent as Mikel Arteta’s side failed to respond, their third winless game in a row in the league leaving their domestic ambitions hanging by a thread.

With the Premier League now slipping out of reach, Arsenal must shift full focus to Europe, where they face Paris Saint-Germain in a must-win Champions League semifinal return leg on Wednesday night in Paris.

Attention turns to Wednesday, as the Gunners seek redemption and a place in the Champions League final.
