Super Eagles of Nigeria on Tuesday flogged The Falcon of Sao Tome & Principe 10-0 in their Match two of 2023 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.
Napoli’s hitman, Victor Osimhen got his first hat-trick and one more goal, playing for the Nigerian senior team. Also, Ademola got his first Super Eagles goal as Jose Peseiro’s men had a good time on the pitch.
The outcome of the match means that the Super Eagles are now in a commanding position in Group A.
The winning did not come with surprise considering the calibre of players paraded by the Nigerian side. What, however, was surprising was the goal margin.
This would be the second time the Super Eagles would score 10-0 in a match having beaten now Benin Republic 10-1 more than six decades ago.
