Nigeria’s Super Falcons will face three-time finalists, Cameroon, in the quarterfinals of the ongoing 2022 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations to secure a ticket to the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
Nigeria sealed her quarterfinal spot after thrashing Burundi 4-0 in the final group match on Sunday night.
Host Morocco and Senegal qualified from group A, Zambia, Cameroon and Tunisia from Group B while South Africa, Nigeria and Botswana completed the final eight for Group C.
The Quarterfinals fixtures are as follows;
13 July
Morocco vs Botswana
Zambia vs Senegal
14 July
Cameroon vs Nigeria
South Africa vs Tunisia
The winners of the quarterfinals will automatically qualify for the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup in New Zealand and Australia.
Losers in the quarterfinals will play a repechage where the two winners will qualify for inter-confederation playoffs to secure a spot in the World Cup.
