In the last quarterfinal game of the 2022 CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, South Africa edged Tunisia 1-0 to extend their fourth consecutive win at the tournament.
A 14th minute goal from Jeramie Seoposenwe was all South Africa needed to seal a place in the last four of the ongoing Women’s Africa Cup of Nations and a ticket to their second consecutive FIFA Women’s World Cup.
South Africa’s Banyana Banyana now join Morocco, Nigeria and Zambia in the last four as well as the four guaranteed Africa slot in the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.
They will face the Copper Queens of Zambia in the Semifinals on July 18 for a place in the final, while host Morocco will slug it out with Nine-time Champions Nigeria on the same day.
