Popular Nigerian pastor and founder of Salvation Proclaimers Anointed Church (SPAC Nation), Tobi Adegboyega, has revealed he is currently battling cancer.
The 43-year-old preacher, known for his extravagant lifestyle and youth-focused ministry now operating under the name The Nxtion Family.
He made the announcement during a pre-recorded sermon broadcast to his followers on Thursday.
He said, “I was diagnosed with cancer. Yes, you heard me right,” he said. “I’ve been dealing with it for the past few months, maybe even longer. I just had major surgery, which is why I’m not with you today.”
Adegboyega described the experience as a spiritual turning point, adding, “I feel God has given me a verdict to keep living, to move into a new stage and new purpose.”

As part of his response to the diagnosis, he pledged a £100,000 donation toward cancer awareness and treatment efforts, with a specific focus on supporting younger patients.
Adegboyega rose to prominence through his unorthodox approach to ministry, gaining both admirers and critics for his work with disenfranchised youths—often accompanied by displays of wealth that included luxury cars, designer fashion, and ties to celebrities.
In 2022, his former church, SPAC Nation, was formally shut down by British authorities following a UK High Court investigation.
The inquiry found the organisation failed to properly account for over £1.87 million in expenditures, leading to its compulsory dissolution.
