Donald Trump says he is not pushing for a third shot at the presidency, even though whispers of such a move have followed him since his White House return.
In a detailed sit-down with NBC’s Meet the Press, the president made it clear: “I’m not looking at that.”
Despite continued support from his base, Trump noted, “So many people want me to do it,” but added, “to the best of my knowledge, you’re not allowed to do it.”

At 76, Trump dismissed blame for the slowing economy and seemed unsure about how far he could legally go in enforcing his deportation plans.
This appearance formed part of his media push, marking his first 100 days back in office. He acknowledged the legal wall set by the 22nd Amendment: “No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice.
“I don’t know if that’s constitutional, that they’re not allowing you to do it or anything else,” he said.
Still, Trump seems focused on legacy over longevity: “I’m looking to have four great years and turning it over to somebody, ideally a great Republican, a great Republican to carry it forward.”
