Tinubu to Visit Kaduna Thursday, Commission Major Projects

President Bola Tinubu is visiting Kaduna State today, Thursday, June 19, to commission a series of major projects delivered by Governor Uba Sani’s administration.

The visit marks the governor’s two years in office and highlights ongoing efforts to improve infrastructure and services across the state.

Among the key projects Tinubu is expected to inaugurate is a 300-bed Specialist Hospital located in Millennium City, built to enhance access to healthcare for Kaduna residents.

He will also open the Institute of Vocational Training and Skills Development in Rigachikun, and commission roads in Soba and Samaru Kataf Local Government Areas.

Other projects include the 24-kilometre Kafanchan Township Road, Tudun Biri Road, and the 22km link between Kauru and Kubau LGAs.

The president will also unveil a Vocational and Skills Training Centre in Tudun Biri and 100 Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) buses, aimed at upgrading the state’s public transport system.

According to the state government, the projects reflect the administration’s focus on infrastructure, healthcare delivery, youth empowerment, and economic development.

The governor’s office described the president’s visit as “a significant moment for the people of Kaduna and an opportunity to showcase ongoing efforts to transform the state through impactful governance.”

Governor Uba Sani, who took office in 2023, has made human capital development, rural infrastructure, and job creation top priorities.

Tinubu was initially scheduled to visit Kaduna on Wednesday but postponed the trip to visit Benue State following recent attacks that left over 59 people dead.

While in Benue, the president met with stakeholders including traditional rulers, political leaders, and community groups, where he called for peace and condemned the violence.

Recall, the Benue State Government had declared Wednesday a public holiday to honour the president’s visit and encouraged residents to turn out in large numbers to receive him.
