President Bola Tinubu has extended Easter felicitations to Christians in Nigeria and globally, using the occasion to pledge his administration’s unwavering commitment to delivering a better, more just, and prosperous nation while addressing the country’s security challenges.
In a personally signed 10-paragraph Easter message released on Friday, April 18, 2025, the President drew inspiration from the Christian celebration’s themes of sacrifice, redemption, love, and hope.
“I remain steadfast in my commitment to delivering the promise of a Renewed Hope, a better, more just, and prosperous Nigeria for all,” President Tinubu affirmed.
Addressing recent security concerns, the President expressed deep sadness over tragic incidents and loss of lives in parts of the country. He assured Nigerians that his administration’s resolve to restore peace and security remains “unshakable.”
“Forces of evil will never prevail over our country,” he declared, adding that he has issued clear directives to the Armed Forces and relevant agencies to decisively end insecurity without delay. He expressed confidence that progress is being made in reclaiming stability.
On the economy, President Tinubu acknowledged the challenges faced by many Nigerians and thanked them for their patience and resilience. He noted that the economy is beginning to show “encouraging signs of recovery” and stated his administration is working tirelessly to restore investor confidence, stabilize key sectors, and build an inclusive economy beneficial to all citizens.
The President urged Nigerians to draw strength from the Easter spirit. “I urge all Nigerians to remain hopeful, united, and resolute in pursuing national progress,” he stated.

He likened the nation’s ability to overcome challenges to Christ’s triumph over death, suggesting the current “cloudy” moment will yield a “glorious day.”
He emphasized unity and resilience as the nation’s greatest strengths in overcoming obstacles.
President Tinubu also joined the global Christian community in expressing gratitude for Pope Francis’s recovery, praying for his continued strength and leadership.
He concluded his message with prayers for peace in homes and continued unity and prosperity for Nigeria, wishing all fellow Nigerians a Happy Easter.
