The leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has issued a strong warning to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. He said the president risks serious unrest if he fails to urgently address the concerns of Nigerian youths.
According to Ayodele, young people across the country are no longer willing to remain silent. They are angry, frustrated, and preparing for a major uprising against the current administration.
In a statement delivered by his spokesperson, Oluwatosin Osho, the prophet emphasized that the government has done little to meet the expectations of young Nigerians. He said the president must create jobs and provide real empowerment opportunities before 2026 if he wants his government to survive the storm ahead.
He didn’t mince words: “The youths are planning a surge against Tinubu’s government, they want to protest against the economy, election, and some other things frustrating them. I want the president to make a strong move on the youth matter so it won’t cause his government problems.
Create empowerment and employment for the youth before May 2026. This isn’t part of the things that will make you win, but you must do to stabilize your government.
“The youths will go on a rampage. Don’t take the youths for granted. You should not enable youths for thuggery, but for the betterment of the country, create jobs for them, empower the best students in tertiary institutions, and do more for them.”

He urged Tinubu to work closely with the youth minister, who he described as capable and willing to listen. The minister, he said, could play a key role in reaching young people across the country if properly empowered.
Ayodele stressed that the president must stop focusing only on elite youths in upscale areas.
“Don’t take the youths for granted, and we are not talking about ‘Big Boys’ youths, those ones don’t vote. We are not talking about Lekki, Ikoyi, Island youths, I mean youths from the grassroots, they don’t have to be famous, we are not talking about internet youths.
You should go to different states and places to empower youths, carry them along in your reforms; otherwise, it will be used against you.”
The message is clear, Nigeria’s youth are watching. They are waiting. And if nothing changes soon, they may decide to force the change themselves.
