Portable Opens Up on Beef with Olamide: ‘He Only Helped Me Halfway

Controversial singer Habeeb Okikiola, fondly called Portable, has shed light on his ongoing feud with rap icon and music mogul Olamide.

According to Portable, his frustration with Olamide dates back to what he perceives as a missed opportunity for more significant support when he was still on the rise.

In a candid interview on EchoRoom, the singer explained that while he was grateful for Olamide’s contribution to his career specifically the verse on the remix of his breakout song, “Zazu” he felt the rapper could have offered him more.

Unlike Olamide, who gave him a verse and left him to fend for himself, Portable expressed a deeper appreciation for British rapper Skepta, who he claims went beyond a mere musical collaboration and provided more substantial mentorship.

“I can’t drag Skepta because he held my hand,” Portable shared. “Olamide didn’t hold my hand. He gave me a verse on ‘Zazu’ and left me without a management team. He can’t sign me now because I’m now a global superstar.”

Portable has also accused Olamide of “snatching” his producer, dancer, and promoter, further fueling the tension between the two.

Despite these claims, Olamide has yet to respond to the allegations.
