President Bola Tinubu on Tuesday, received Her Majesty, Queen Mary Elizabeth of Denmark, in a historic diplomatic engagement at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
The Queen was warmly welcomed by President Tinubu and the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, as part of her official visit aimed at strengthening diplomatic, economic, and cultural ties between Nigeria and the Kingdom of Denmark.
In a statement released shortly after the meeting, and shared on the Tinubu’s X handle, the President Tinubu described the royal visit as a significant moment in Nigeria’s foreign relations, hailing the Queen’s presence as a symbol of goodwill and shared values between the two nations.
“It was a distinct privilege to receive Her Majesty Queen Mary Elizabeth of Denmark today at the Aso Villa in Abuja.
“Together with the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, we welcomed Her Majesty on this important visit to our country,” Tinubu stated.
