Peoples Democratic Party screening panel for the party’s primary election in Ondo State on Friday disqualified two of the nine aspirants jostling for the party’s governorship ticket for the October 10 governorship election.
The panel led by former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, declared the two candidates ineligible to participate in the party’s primary in the state.
Speaking with journalists after the exercise, Dogara said, “Unfortunately, two of our aspirants did not pass the litmus test.”
But he declared that they are free to approach the appeal committee, which sits on Monday, for redress.
