NPFL: Kano Pillars Begin Four-Week Break to Regroup

After a season of highs and challenges, Kano Pillars have officially hit pause. The club has declared a four-week break for players and officials following the end of the 2024–25 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) campaign.

This announcement came on the 29th of May, 2025, through a statement issued by club chairman, Alhaji Ali Muhammad Umar.

He acknowledged the collective effort that powered the team throughout the season:

“On behalf of the board, I wish to sincerely thank our players, technical crew, supporters, media team and all stakeholders who contributed to the successful conclusion of the 2024/2025 season. Your dedication, sacrifice and support have been the backbone of our progress,” Umar stated.

He added that while the team takes time off, behind-the-scenes planning is already underway:

“As the team proceeds on break, preparations for the upcoming season are already underway. The management will continue to work behind the scenes to strengthen the squad, evaluate performances, and plan strategic improvements ahead of the new campaign.”

He also reserved special praise for fans who never stopped showing up:

“The club also extends heartfelt appreciation to its loyal supporters across the country and beyond. Your unwavering belief and passionate support continue to inspire the team to strive for excellence.”

Kano Pillars wrapped up their league run in 9th place, securing 53 points from 38 matches.
