Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has dismissed calls for his expulsion from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), declaring that no one has the authority or standing to remove him from the party he helped build.
Speaking at a media parley in Abuja on Monday, the former Rivers State governor reaffirmed his membership and loyalty to the PDP, challenging his critics to match his contributions to the party.
“I am still in the PDP. I worked hard for this party,” Wike said.

“I have not seen anyone with the guts to tell me, ‘Wike, you are not a member of the party.’ Who is that person? What has he contributed to the PDP that surpasses mine?”
Wike’s remarks come amid ongoing internal divisions within the PDP, fueled in part by his controversial support for the current administration and his perceived shifting political alliances.
Despite the rising tensions, Wike insisted he remains firmly rooted in the PDP and will not be pushed aside by political detractors.
