NNPC Ltd Unveils New Senior Management Team

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd.) has announced the appointment of a new eight-member Senior Management Team, marking a significant step in its ongoing transformation and repositioning as a fully commercial entity.

In a statement released on Friday by the Chief Corporate Communications Officer, Olufemi Soneye, the appointments come on the heels of the recent confirmation of Mr. Bashir Bayo Ojulari as the Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO) and the constitution of a new Board of Directors.

Leading the new executive structure, Mr. Ojulari will steer a high-powered team that includes Rowland Ewubare as the Group Chief Operating Officer; Adedapo Segun as Group Chief Financial Officer; and Olalekan Ogunleye as Executive Vice President, Gas, Power & New Energy.

Also appointed are Udy Ntia as Executive Vice President, Upstream; Mumuni Dangazau as Executive Vice President, Downstream; Sophia Mbakwe as Executive Vice President, Business Services; and Adesua Dozie as Company Secretary & Chief Legal Officer.

According to the release, all appointments take immediate effect.

The announcement signals NNPC Ltd.’s commitment to strengthening its leadership capacity to drive strategic reforms, foster innovation, and enhance value creation across Nigeria’s oil and gas industry.

The restructuring is expected to bolster the company’s competitiveness in the global energy landscape, particularly in the areas of gas expansion, clean energy, and downstream operations, while promoting transparency and good corporate governance.
