The Federation of International Football Association (FIFA) has released its latest men’s world rankings, placing Nigeria’s Super Eagles at 43rd globally, marking a one-spot improvement from their previous 44th position.

This ranking, the first released by FIFA in 2025, reflects the team’s recent performance in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

The Super Eagles‘ climb in the global rankings coincides with a shift in their African standings. While they improved globally, they now hold the sixth position in Africa, trailing behind Morocco, Senegal, Egypt, Algeria, and Côte d’Ivoire.
