The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), through its Abuja Operations Office, has begun distributing relief materials to victims of recent fire incidents in Ofu, and Ogorimagongo Local Government Areas of Kogi State.
This initiative follows federal government approval for emergency relief to the affected communities.
A team from NEMA has been deployed to the state to coordinate and oversee the distribution process.

During the distribution, the Executive Governor of Kogi State, represented by the Executive Secretary of the Kogi State Emergency Management Agency (KOSEMA), Alhaji Muktar Atima, commended NEMA for its prompt response.
He also praised the strong collaboration between federal and state emergency agencies, calling it a crucial step toward enhancing disaster response and management efforts across Kogi State.
In appreciation, Umoru Ndanusa, speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, expressed heartfelt gratitude to NEMA for its assistance and prayed for the safe journey of the team members back to their various destinations.
