The Liberal Progressive and Patriotic Members Congress (LPPMC) has thrown its weight behind a rising wave of opposition parties, civil groups, and citizens determined to challenge Nigeria’s leadership and change the country’s direction.
The party’s National Coordinator, Dr. Kingsley Okundaye, didn’t mince words in a statement that pointed fingers at decades of political failure and demanded collective resistance.
“Nigeria is plunged into unprecedented economic hardship, insecurity, and institutional decay. The Naira has collapsed, fuel prices have skyrocketed, millions face hunger, and terrorists operate freely while the government shows neither competence nor compassion over the years.”
He pinned the country’s collapse on the two dominant parties that have ruled since the return to democracy.
“The PDP and APC’s legacy is one of broken promises, corruption, and sheer incompetence, a betrayal of the mandate Nigerians entrusted to them since the inception of democracy in 1999.”
Okundaye said history has shown that unified opposition can overcome entrenched power. He reminded Nigerians of the 2015 general election when a coalition of smaller parties unseated the ruling party despite overwhelming odds.
“Today, we face a similar battle, but the stakes are higher. The already existing weaponized poverty, division, and state machinery to cling to power, but the Nigerian people are waking up. LPPMC hereby declares its full commitment and participation in this rescue mission and urges all progressive Nigerians to join forces under this coalition,” Okundaye explained.
According to him, the LPPMC is not just another party it’s a platform for Nigerians who want fairness, accountability, and inclusive governance.

He called on political parties in the opposition bloc to drop rivalry and unite for a common goal.
He urged labour unions to mobilize their members. He encouraged student unions and civil society to speak up. He pushed for the media to give more space to real issues and people-driven campaigns.
He challenged Nigerians to reject despair and organize for change.
“Government may have the money, but we have the masses. They may have propaganda, but we have the truth. They may try to rig, but we will defend every vote.”
To Okundaye, the 2027 election is more than a date on the calendar, it’s a turning point.
The National Coordinator believes that the 2027 election will be Nigeria’s redemption day. The coalition is unstoppable, the people are ready, and change is inevitable.
