Leadership tussle: police seal APC National Secretariat, again

For the second time in two days, a detachment of armed policemen from the Federal Capital Territory Police Command sealed the National Secretariat of the All Progressives Congress.

On Thursday morning, two patrol vehicles were packed strategically in front of the party secretariat’s main entrance.

The police first sealed off the APC secretariat in Abuja last Tuesday on the orders of the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu.

Court of Appeal, Abuja, had last week upheld the suspension of the APC National Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole.

Former deputy national secretary, Chief Victor Giadom, has since declared himself the APC acting National Chairman.

But some of his colleagues in the National Working Committee have insisted that the former Oyo State governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, who is indisposed, is the Acting National Chairman.

Giadom has called a National Executive Council meeting for today in Abuja and President Muhammadu Buhari has indicated interest in attending.
