The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced key dates for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
JAMB Registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, revealed that the sale of UTME forms will begin on January 31, 2025, and close on March 5, 2025.
For direct entry candidates, the sale of application documents and e-PIN vending will take place from March 10 to April 7, 2025.
The Mock-UTME is set for April 5, 2025, while the main UTME will be held from April 25 to May 5, 2025. Candidates registering for both the UTME and the mock exam will pay ₦8,200, whereas those registering for only the UTME will pay ₦7,200.
The breakdown of the fees includes ₦3,500 for the UTME/DE JAMB application fee, ₦1,000 for the reading text, ₦700 for the CBT Centre registration service charge, ₦1,500 for the CBT Centre UTME service charge, ₦1,500 for the CBT Mock service charge, ₦500 for bank charges, and ₦1,500 for the CBT Mock-UTME centre charge.
In a new initiative, Oloyede announced a special mock UTME for candidates under 16, aimed at helping younger candidates test their abilities ahead of the main exam. This initiative is not for admission purposes.
To qualify for university admission, candidates must be at least 16 years old by September 30, 2025.
However, Oloyede added that exceptional candidates under 15 may be considered for admission if they score at least 280 in the UTME and perform outstandingly in their Senior Secondary Certificate and post-UTME examinations.
