Ibas Attends First NEC Meeting as Rivers Sole Administrator

Retired Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas, recently appointed as Sole Administrator of Rivers State, made his first appearance at the National Economic Council (NEC) meeting on Thursday, April 24, held at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

The meeting, chaired by Vice President Kashim Shettima, brought together several state governors and deputy governors from across the federation.

Ibas’ attendance comes just weeks after President Bola Tinubu appointed him to oversee Rivers State, following the March 2025 suspension of Governor Siminalayi Fubara.
