Darlington Okoye, also known as Speed Darlington has apologised to fans following the outrage from a viral video in which he seemed to have confessed to defiling a 15-year-old virgin girl.
Darlington Okoye, also known as Speed Darlington, has issued an apology to his fans in response to the uproar generated by a viral video.
In the video, he appeared to make a troubling admission regarding an encounter with a 15-year-old virgin girl.
In a video that has since come under heavy criticism on social media, the artist discussed his encounter with a teenage girl that occurred 10 years ago.
In a follow-up video posted to his Instagram account on Wednesday, Speed Darlington claimed that the widely circulated video was merely a publicity stunt intended to promote his latest album.
He also expressed regret to his followers and anybody else who could have been offended by the video.

He said, “All my followers pissed off about the video I recorded in which I spoke about me sleeping with a 15-year-old, I am an artist. I need controversy to eat. If you are not trending, you are not getting booked. Simple! Nobody is booking something that is not trending.
“I have a new song now. The song is talking about f#ck this, f#ck that. This is my genre. I do not perform Christian music. When I dropped my song, I needed f#ck contents to push it,. That is what I was doing. Don’t give it more like than it is supposed to have.
“If any of you are offended, it’s alright. Apologies.”
However, First News correspondent had earlier reported that the Lagos State government officially reported to the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) about the claimed made by the singer.
Based on the singer’s claim, the state government accused him of allegedly raping a minor in a hotel.
