Griezmann Commits Future to Atlético Madrid with New Deal Until 2027

Antoine Griezmann has officially signed a contract extension with Atlético Madrid, keeping him at the club until 2027.

The French forward, who has been pivotal for Diego Simeone’s side, chose loyalty over lucrative offers from Major League Soccer (MLS), opting instead to remain in Spain with a reduced salary package.

Despite growing interest from across the Atlantic, Griezmann reportedly turned down proposals from several MLS clubs, choosing instead to continue his journey with Atléti — a club where he has spent the bulk of his professional career and solidified his legacy.

According to sources close to the deal, the 33-year-old accepted a pay cut as part of his commitment to the club’s long-term project.

His decision has been met with widespread praise from fans and pundits alike, seen as a testament to his dedication and strong relationship with the club.

Griezmann’s new deal is set to keep him at the Civitas Metropolitano until June 2027, as Atlético look to build a competitive squad around their talisman in the coming seasons.

The World Cup winner has made over 300 appearances for the club across two spells, establishing himself as one of the most iconic figures in its modern history.
