In a dramatic and emotional public outcry, Jane Edidiong-Ufot, the Senior Special Assistant on Health, Safety, and Environment and the second daughter of Akwa Ibom State Governor Umo Eno, has raised disturbing allegations regarding threats to her life and the safety of her daughter.
In a now-viral video circulating widely on social media, Jane accused unnamed individuals of plotting to kill her and her child, claiming that the deaths of her mother and two brothers were not natural but orchestrated. With visible distress, she stated:
“I am not a sacrifice! Mummy was! I am not!”
Jane’s late mother, Pastor Patience Eno, passed away in September 2024. Although her death was officially reported as being from natural causes, Jane’s recent comments have sparked renewed scrutiny and speculation.
During the video, Jane further declared:
“If I die today or my daughter dies, I can live with that. But my blood will not go scot-free. Do you want them to die like my brother died? Like my baby brother died? Ask him!”

The impassioned statements suggest long standing tension within the family and hint at alleged cover-ups and hidden truths.
Jane claims her life has been endangered due to her decision to speak out, but she remains undeterred, adding that she has widely shared her evidence to prevent suppression of her claims:
“Don’t worry, I’ve posted this everywhere,” she assured.
Her bold accusations have triggered waves of reaction across political and social circles, with many calling for a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the deaths mentioned and her current safety.
The gravity of Jane’s allegations, coming from within the household of a sitting state governor, could have serious political and legal ramifications, particularly if substantiated. As of now, there has been no official response from Governor Umo Eno or his representatives regarding the claims.
