Ruling All Progressives Congress’ Caretaker/Extra-Ordinary National Convention Planning Committee has appointed Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, to head the ruling party’s 49-member National Campaign Council for the Edo State Governorship Election.
Also appointed as members of the campaign council are: Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma as Deputy Chairman and Abbas Braimoh as Secretary.
This was announced by the Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the APC, Yekini Nabena, in a statement in Abuja, on Thursday.
According to him, the setting up of the council “followed the approval for the constitution of a National Campaign Council for the 19th September, 2020 Governorship Election, by the National Chairman of the APC Caretaker/Extra-Ordinary National Convention Planning Committee, H.E. Mai Mala Buni.
“The campaign council will be inaugurated on Monday, 6th July 2020 at the Party’s National Secretariat. “
