Suspended Governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara, has praised the resilience and dedication of workers across the state amid political and socio-economic challenges.
In a Workers’ Day statement released Thursday through his Chief Press Secretary, Nelson Chukwudi, Fubara described the state’s workforce as the backbone of its development and a symbol of hope for the future.
Citing this year’s Workers’ Day theme — “Ensuring Safety and Health at Work in a Changing Climate” — Fubara urged greater focus on workplace safety and environmentally conscious labour policies. He emphasized that protecting workers from hazards is key to sustainable development.
Fubara also commended the Tinubu administration’s efforts toward labour reforms and climate-friendly workplace initiatives.
