Immediate past governor of Bayelsa State, Hon Henry Seriake Dickson, has expressed shock over the death of the former Oyo State governor and Deputy National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Senator Abiola Ajimobi.

Dickson, in a condolence message to the family of the late former Oyo governor stated, “My family and I received with great shock the news of the passing on of the immediate past governor of Oyo State, Senator Abiola Ajimobi.

“Senator Ajimobi was a good man, a key player in the nation’s oil sector, where he served as the Managing Director/Chief Executive of the National Oil and Chemical Marketing Company, a Senator of the Federal Republic, the first two-term Governor of Oyo State and Acting National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress.

“Ajimobi related freely with all his colleagues and was one of my Egbons.

“He was also fond of his family, especially of his wife, Florence, who I always call my sister. My heart goes out to his beloved wife Florence, their lovely children and grand-children, the entire Ajimobi family, the Government and the good people of Oyo State, and my brother the current Governor, Seyi Makinde, during this sad moment.

“May God give the family and his loved ones the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.”
