Police in Dubai, United Arab Emirate, have handed over suspected internet scamster and Instagram influencer, Raymond Igbalode also known as Hushpuppi to the United States’ Federal Bureau of Investigation.
The police disclosed this in a statement on Thursday.
Hushpuppi, who has been accused of scamming people via internet, was arrested recently in Dubai.
The Dubai police also said in the statement that one of Hushpuppi’s accomplices, Olalekan Ponle aka Woodberry, was also extradited.
While commending the Dubai police for their role in ensuring arrest of Hushpuppi and his gang, FBI Director, Christopher Wray, said, “I thank the exceptional efforts (of Dubai Police) in fighting organised cybercrimes and arresting Hushpuppi and Woodbery.”
