The Niger State Police Command has arrested a former Nigerian soldier, Michael Musa, for impersonating a serving military officer and defrauding multiple Point-of-Sale (POS) operators of over ₦470,000 while wearing full military camouflage.

Musa, who was dismissed from the Nigerian Army in 2022, was apprehended following a series of fraud reports in Bida, Kataeregi, and along Mandela Road in Minna.

According to police reports, the first complaint was made by a POS operator in Bida, who alleged that on May 12, Musa, dressed as a soldier, fraudulently collected ₦120,000 and fled.

A second incident occurred on May 23 in Kataeregi, where Musa allegedly repeated the act and escaped with ₦300,000.

The third report came from Mandela Road on May 29, where another ₦50,000 was taken under similar circumstances.
