Kano State Government said on Monday that it has conducted 4,735 COVID-19 samples test since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic in the state.
“A total of 4,735 samples of COVID-19 were tested in Kano State,” the state Ministry of Health disclosed this via its verified Twitter account @KNSMOH.
The state government said that as at May 31, while three new confirmed cases of the virus were confirmed, 40 patients were discharged and two deaths were recorded in the state.
The state, therefore, recorded a total of 954 confirmed coronavirus cases, 669 of which were active. But while 240 were discharged, 45 deaths were recorded in the state.
The state health ministry, however, advised Kano residents to observe safety protocols, personal hygiene, use of face mask, hand washing, and maintain social distancing to check further spread of COVID-19.
