President Muhammadu Buhari, on Friday, renewed the appointment of the Executive Vice Chairman of the Nigerian Communication Commission, Prof Umar Danbatta.

According to the statement, President Buhari approved the reappointment of the NCC boss upon recommendation by the Ministry in line with the Nigerian Communications Act, 2003 “to consolidate the gains made in the telecommunications sector in line with the National Digital Economy Policy and Strategy.
“Prof Danbatta’s reappointment was based on the recommendation of the Honourable Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Dr Isa Ali Ibrahim (Pantami), FNCS, FBCS, FIIM, in line with the Nigerian Communications Act, 2003.”Danbatta was appointed by President Buhari four years ago.
