… collects membership card from ward excos
Ondo State Deputy Governor, Mr Agboola Ajayi, on Sunday, dumped the ruling All Progressives Congress and defected to the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party.
Ajayi had earlier resigned his APC membership in Apoi Ward 2, Ese Odo Local Government Area of the state.
This development came a few hours after Ajayi was stopped by policemen led by the state Police Commissioner, Bolaji Salami, from leaving the Ondo Government House in Alagbaka, Akure, the state capital.
While tendering his resignation letter at the APC secretariat in Apoi Ward 2, Ese Odo Local Government Area, the embattled deputy governor said the reason behind his defection from the APC was not strange to everybody.
He then left the APC secretariat in the ward and headed to that of the PDP, where he announced his return to the party and collected his membership card.
