Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Bianca Odumegwu Ojukwu, has led a high-powered delegation of Nnewi community leaders on a courtesy visit to Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, to express their appreciation for his support during her appointment to the federal cabinet.
Governor Soludo, in a statement shared on his official social media handle, revealed details of the visit, which he described as heartwarming and symbolic of political maturity and unity across party lines.
“Yesterday, I received a courtesy visit from the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Bianca Odumegwu Ojukwu, accompanied by a delegation of respected Nnewi indigenes. They came to express their gratitude for my continued support, particularly during her nomination as Minister in the Renewed Hope administration,” Soludo stated.
The governor lauded Ambassador Ojukwu—widow of the late Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, the founding leader of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA)—for her swift adaptation to the rigours of public service in her new federal role.

“Ambassador Bianca’s appointment is a testament to President Bola Tinubu’s commitment to a unified Nigeria, where merit and capability transcend party lines. She is a round peg in a round hole, and I am confident she will make a significant impact,” he added.
Soludo’s comments highlighted the cross-party goodwill and national unity exemplified by Ojukwu’s appointment in an administration led by the All Progressives Congress (APC), despite her family’s deep historical ties to APGA.
Ambassador Ojukwu’s appointment has been widely praised as a strategic and inclusive decision, reflecting a broader push for national cohesion and the recognition of capable individuals, regardless of political affiliations.
