Kidnappers of the 80-year-old Pa Napoleon Alele, father to the Sagbama Local Government Area council Chairman in Bayelsa State, Embeleakpo Alele, have demanded N100million ransom for the release of the octogenarian.
A family source said that Pa Alele’s abductors contacted the family few days ago and demanded the payment of N100million ransom.
The octogenarian was abducted 25 days ago, precisely on May 8, 2020, by unidentified gunmen from his Agbere country home.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, Superintendent Asinim Butswat, confirmed that Pa Alele was still being held by his kidnappers.
Butswat added that the police had launched a manhunt for the octogenarian’s abductors.
