Arsenal’s hopes of clinching the Premier League title have effectively slipped away following a 1-1 draw against Everton at Goodison Park on Saturday.
Despite taking the lead in the first half, Mikel Arteta’s side couldn’t hold on as the Toffees fought back after the break.
Leandro Trossard opened the scoring for the Gunners in the 34th minute, slotting home to give Arsenal a deserved lead going into halftime.
However, the lead was short-lived as Everton’s Iliman Ndiaye found the back of the net just four minutes into the second half, leveling the score at 1-1.

With the draw, Arsenal’s title challenge has all but faded, and it now seems inevitable that the Premier League crown will be heading to Liverpool, who are now just four wins away from securing the championship.
For Arteta, the result is a bitter disappointment, but it now sets the stage for a busy summer transfer window as he looks to bolster his squad for the next season in hopes of finally securing silverware.
Arsenal’s ambition for a title may have been dashed for this season, but the Gunners will surely regroup and aim to strengthen in their bid to lift a trophy in the near future.
