The Kano State Police Command on Friday arrested 14 additional suspects in connection with the recent attack on the Rano Divisional Police Headquarters.
According to the police, the arrests were made during a coordinated house-to-house raid carried out by tactical units in the early hours of Wednesday, May 29.
The operation, which began around 1:30 a.m., was led by the Assistant Commissioner of Police in charge of Operations (ACPOL DOPS), ACP Suleiman Aliyu Gusau.
The raid followed critical intelligence gathered in the wake of the violent assault on the police facility, which authorities say was a premeditated act carried out by a group of organized individuals.
Those apprehended during the operation are, Abdullahi Ibrahim, Sani Umar, Yusuf Aliyu, Jibrin Abdulsalam, Dahiru Usman, Ibrahim Usman, Ismail Usman.
Others include Rabiu Usman, Abdullahi Dahiru Sale, Ladi Ismail (female), Usaini Salisu, Musa Hassan, Mohammed Adamu Abdul, and Umar Mohammed.
According to the police, the arrests individuals are all suspected to have actively participated in the attack.

As of the time of this report, authorities did not disclosed the specific roles each suspect allegedly played in the incident, but emphasised that investigations are ongoing.
The Command has assured the public that a discreet and thorough probe is underway to uncover the full circumstances of the attack and bring all involved parties to justice.
The Rano Divisional Police Headquarters was reportedly targeted in a violent attack earlier this month, raising security concerns across the area.
First News correspondent gathered that the assault resulted in property damage and temporarily disrupted police operations in the division.
The police urged members of the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity, reiterating their commitment to restoring and maintaining peace and security in the region.
